Welcome to Skill First Learn. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our Learning Management System (LMS) platform, including virtual labs, online courses, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account, accessing, or using the Skill First Learn platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use our Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Skill First Learn provides:

  • Online courses and educational content in AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Robotics, and related fields
  • Cloud-based virtual labs (vLabs) accessible through web browsers
  • Interactive learning materials, exercises, quizzes, and assessments
  • Progress tracking and learning analytics
  • Community features and instructor support

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

5. Virtual Labs Usage

5.1 Lab Environment

Our virtual labs provide cloud-based computing environments for hands-on learning. You agree to:

  • Use lab resources only for educational purposes related to your enrolled courses
  • Not attempt to access or modify system configurations or other users' lab environments
  • Not use labs for cryptocurrency mining, hosting services, or other non-educational activities
  • Respect resource limits and fair usage policies
  • Save your work regularly, as lab sessions may have time limits

5.2 Lab Monitoring

Lab sessions may be monitored for:

  • Educational support and progress tracking
  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Security and compliance purposes
  • Preventing abuse and ensuring fair resource allocation

5.3 Lab Data and Files

You are responsible for backing up your work. We are not responsible for data loss in virtual labs. Lab environments may be reset, and data may be deleted after session expiration or course completion.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content on the Service, including courses, materials, software, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Skill First Learn or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission
  • Share course materials with unauthorized users
  • Record, stream, or redistribute course content
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create (assignments, projects, code). By submitting content, you grant us a license to:

  • Use, display, and distribute your content for educational and platform improvement purposes
  • Share your work with instructors and other students as part of the learning experience

You represent that you have the right to grant these licenses and that your content does not infringe on others' rights.

7. Course Enrollment and Access

7.1 Enrollment

Course enrollment may be subject to:

  • Payment of applicable fees (if any)
  • Prerequisites or eligibility requirements
  • Availability and capacity limits

7.2 Access Period

Course access is typically granted for the duration specified at enrollment. Access may be extended or limited based on course policies, subscription plans, or institutional agreements.

Certificates of completion are issued upon successful completion of course requirements. Certificates are non-transferable and may be verified through our platform. We reserve the right to revoke certificates for violations of these Terms.

10. Termination

We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKILL FIRST LEARN AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
  • INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE OR SYSTEM FAILURES
  • UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF YOUR ACCOUNT
  • ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN CONTENT

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Skill First Learn and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Content you submit or transmit through the Service

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through:

  • Good Faith Negotiation: Parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through direct communication
  • Mediation: If negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to mediation
  • Arbitration: Disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules

You waive any right to participate in class-action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Sending you an email notification (for significant changes)

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising from these Terms shall be brought in the appropriate courts.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the intent of the original.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Skill First Learn regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
